The movie I decided on doing was “The Beach”. It’s about a twenty-something Richard who travels to Thailand and finds himself in possession of a strange map. Rumors state that it leads to a solitary beach paradise, a tropical bliss – excited and intrigued, he sets out to find it. Don’t want to spoil the rest in case you haven’t seen it, but it’s basically about the downfalls of a supposedly utopian society, it kind of reminds me of an adult “Lord of the Flies”.
Here is my take on “The Beach”:
We went to the Manasquan Dog Beach for the shoot, pretty much a doggie paradise. I found out that Seren is a natural born swimmer, who knew? This is coming from a dog who refuses to even step into a puddle, but she loved every minute of it. Swimming, running, and even attacking the waves, literally. When the waves were breaking she tried to bite them! But all this bliss had its downside as well. She got a little sick from drinking so much ocean water. She’s fine now but hopefully she learned to not swallow so much for next time!
Next in the blog ring is Karla Ogilvie Photography and I’m excited to see what the others have come up with this week. Truly an outside of the box type of assignment.
