This week for Project 52 the assignment was “Textures.” I never really attempted to do this before so I Googled how to. Oh the internet. There’s this cool blog by Lawrence Chan called Marketing Strategies for Smart Photographers, and he wrote a great article on how to use textures. The only thing I did different was instead of using the eraser tool to get rid of places where I didn’t want the texture, I used a layer mask. I used a vintage looking photo of Seren next to our Vitrola from 1917 (wow almost 100 years old!), downloaded one of the free grunge textures, and overlayed it on top to give it an even more faded, older photo look.
Please take a look at more fine art texture action starting withย Blue Amrich Studios!
