This week was my week to choose the Project 52 theme and I decided to go with “First Thing in the Morning” because I find it funny how much dogs depend on routine. This is what I see every morning when I wake up, blurry-eyed and out of it. I try to close my eyes and pretend I’m still sleeping, but they’re normally too smart for that. If I wait too long, Starfox gets really mad and starts to smack me in the face with his paws while growling, ” Get up lady!”

Ann Kearns - I love your pups! So adorable. That is how my corgi-boy used to wake me, up, too…I’d wake up to his big round nose 2 inches from my face (so adorable). He is too old, and blind, to be up on the bed now, though. 🙁 I love your photo…it makes me smile and remember those mornings.
Jenny - I just love how our pets keep up from sleeping all day long. They look so sweet… and so hungry! lol
